What is HTMA Testing?

HTMA (Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis) testing is a functional test that assesses the body’s mineral levels, heavy metal load, and the status of stressed organs through a small hair sample. An HTMA shows mineral levels throughout the last 3 months of time, as opposed to blood serum labs that expose a snapshot of these levels. Based on your mineral testing, we are able to see the efficiency of your digestion and gut health, thyroid and adrenal function, blood sugar regulation, the body’s ability to detoxify properly, and the status of your metabolic function. Each mineral has an affect on every other mineral. Minerals are needed to activate enzymes within the body for necessary processes, hormone balance, a strong metabolism, and so much more. With this being said, when minerals are imbalanced, your body cries out in the form of symptoms - such as acne, skin issues, fatigue in the form of thyroid and adrenal dysfunction, disease, and even autoimmune disorders.
